Number of Beds: 36

Number of Staff: 49

Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTs, 1 Secretary

Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTs

Patient Ratios:

Nurse to Patient Ratio: 6:1

Typical equipment used on the unit includes:

• IV Pumps
• Wound Vacs
• SCD Pumps
• Kangaroo Pumps
• Chest Tubes
• Telemetry
• PCA Pumps
• Bipaps
• Epidurals

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) used on the unit.

Required Skills:

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Med-Surg Experience
• Ability to work as a Team Player
• Critical Thinking Skills

Preferred

Skills:

Candidates with the following skills will be prioritized:

• Prioritization Skills
• Time Management Skills

Common procedures performed in this unit include:

• Wound Vac Changes
• Wound Care
• IV Insertions
• Insertion of Indwelling Foley Catheters

The ideal candidate will be:

• A willing team player.

• Active Nursing License
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification

Potential floating areas include:

• 6A
• 3A
• 3 South
• 4 South

Uniform requirements include:

• Ceil Blue Scrubs
• No sweatshirts
• No crocs

Schedule details include:

• Every other weekend shifts
• On-call during low census periods
