Special Education Paraprofessional; Alexandria

Make a real difference in the lives of students. Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking a Paraprofessional to join our team at Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Alexandria, Minnesota. You will help K-6 students thrive in a supportive, highly individualized educational setting. Our students are referred by local school districts and benefit from a calm, structured environment designed to meet both academic and behavioral needs.

We are looking for team players who enjoy working with children and are committed to helping every learner succeed.

Position Details:
Typical hours: 8:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., 6.75 hours/day. Workdays: 180 days/year, aligned with the school calendar.

• Support K–6 students in their learning, social, and emotional development
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assist with classroom instruction and behavioral support
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment
• Receive on-the-job training and ongoing support

• High school diploma or equivalent AND
• One of the following:
• 60+ college credits
• Completed associate degree
• Passing score on the Para educator or Para Pro exam (can be completed after hire within 30 days)

• Experience working with students with challenging behaviors
• A positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed

Base pay range: $19.75/hr - $24.00/hr depending on qualifications
