Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking a Paraprofessional/Site Assistant to join our team at Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Alexandria, Minnesota. This unique dual role combines responsibilities as a Special Education Paraprofessional with school site support duties. LCA is a Setting IV program serving K-6 students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and emotional/behavioral disorders (EBD) in a highly structured, supportive environment.

We are looking for someone who is organized, caring, and eager to contribute to both student success and smooth school operations. Position Details:

Schedule:

7.25 hours/day, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM (as set by site administrator) Work Year: 182 days

Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic and behavioral support to students under the guidance of licensed teachers Assist with implementing students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Support daily school operations, including office tasks, communication, and scheduling Maintain a welcoming, efficient school environment while working collaboratively with staff

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED AND ONE of the following: 60+ postsecondary credits Associate s degree (2-year) Passing score on the Para educator or Para Pro exam (can be completed within 30 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with students with challenging behaviors A positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed Pay Range: $19.75-$24.00 per hour depending on qualifications Benefits:
