A Typical Day

As a Team Leader, you will lead a customer-centric team, manage a single H&R Block tax office, and help accelerate seasonal tax business growth. You will develop your knowledge on tax topics, serve as a resource for associates, and ensure excellent client service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-unit management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry
• 2+ years as a Tax Professional

Responsibilities

• Partner with District GM to create growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage community involvement
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates
• Handle escalated client service issues
• Ensure proper scheduling and conflict resolution
• Lead daily operations, ensure quality and deadlines are met
• Train and coach associates, lead team meetings, and create work schedules
• Prepare tax returns as needed
• Conduct performance reviews and address employee issues

Required Skills & Experience

• Customer service or supervisory experience
• Experience managing people
• Completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing taxes)
• Ability to meet IRS and state requirements, continuing education
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Independent worker with customer focus
• Flexible schedule and work assignments
• High school diploma or higher

Pay Range

$15.00 - $65.00 per hour, depending on experience, location, and performance. Eligible for incentives and benefits.
