Shift Information

1st Shift: Mon – Fri

Salary Range

$20.56 - $28.79

Job Responsibilities
  • Promote Standard Iron's Core Values of "Commitment to People, Commitment to Customers, and Commitment to Action".
  • Efficiently inspect parts of a moderate complexity.
  • Facilitate actions required when Non-Conformances arise, both external and internal, including customer communications.
  • Sustain quality procedures, systems, and requirements to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Interpret customer prints, specifications, weld, and workmanship standards.
  • Perform part inspections for ISIR’s and other production parts as needed.
  • Update part specific Control Plans as quality issues dictate.
  • Assist in Gage R&R and Process Capability Studies.
  • Engage in Tier II Triangle activities including daily meetings to support continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the calibration of metrology equipment, gages, and test equipment when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Qualifications
  • Trigonometry basics and math skills, which include proficiency with fractions, decimals and both standard and metric dimensions.
  • Experience with blueprint reading including basic dimensioning, true position, and welding callouts.
  • Proficient in use of inspection equipment including weld gauges, calipers, micrometers, height stands, and protractors.
  • Good computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Effective communication skills and working in a Team environment.
  • Experience with portable arm Coordinate Measurement Machine’s preferred but not required.
  • ASQ Certification or previous quality experience preferred.
