Machine Operator
Now hiring for a Machine Operator in Alexandria, MN. Pay rate: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour. Schedules available: 1st shift Monday – Friday 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, 2nd shift Monday – Friday 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM, 3rd shift Sunday – Thursday 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM.

Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, production procedures, and safety guidelines. Basic math skills, including addition and multiplication, required for measurements, inspections, and production reporting.
Experience RequirementsPrevious machine operator, assembly operator, manufacturing, or production experience preferred. Experience operating production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gage blocks. Experience performing quality checks, production reporting, and basic equipment maintenance is a plus.
Preferred QualificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain efficient machine operation. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production goals.
Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, sit, walk, climb, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to use repetitive hand motions and operate manufacturing equipment safely. Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions. Comfortable working in a production environment while adhering to all safety requirements.
Job DutiesOperate assembly and manufacturing equipment to produce and package electrical fasteners according to production schedules. Perform routine product inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards. Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain optimal operating speeds. Complete daily production records, reports, and documentation accurately. Perform autonomous maintenance and basic equipment upkeep to support efficient operations. Participate in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
Maintain 5S workplace organization and housekeeping standards. Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and manufacturing best practices. Collaborate with team members to achieve productivity, quality, and delivery goals. Perform additional production and operational duties as assigned.
