Work as a member of a crew that provides STAR members and clients with safety inspection and maintenance of electric utility equipment used to distribute electricity. These include but are not limited to the duties and responsibilities shown below. Changes to this job description could occur at any time and other duties may be assigned.

- Excavate and backfill ground line area of wood utility poles with provided tools.
- Assist in assessing the condition of electric utility equipment.
- Safely operate assigned vehicle, utility terrain vehicle(s) UTV and trailers.
- Utilize iPads, software and maps to collect electronic data.
- Work as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
- Perform daily work based upon goals and timelines defined by the Manager, Field Services.
- Comply with non‑CDL commercial motor vehicle requirements.
- Daytime and overnight travel is required.
- Ability to lead by example in skill and character.
- Ability to communicate openly and professionally within your team and department as well as with other departments and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to meet and maintain health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to complete and pass DNR ATV Safety Training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Health Card.
- Ability to use various data collection devices and learn new software and applications based on job assignment.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role; stand, sit, lift and carry up to 60 pounds, walk, drive, and conduct demanding physical labor.
- High school diploma.
- Determined self‑starter, problem solver, and solution finder.
- Strong commitment to customer service delivery.
- Strong situational awareness when working with clients.
- Valid driver’s license.
