Maintenance Technician - Full Time - Grand Arbor

Vivie is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure our senior living community operates smoothly by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Full Time – 80 hours/pay period – Monday through Friday – 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Includes an on-call rotation.

Pay: $20.44/hr. to $26.00/hr. (hourly non‑exempt), based on qualifications, experience, and location.

• Maintain buildings & grounds – perform general building maintenance, repairs, floor care, landscaping, snow removal, and remodeling.
• Manage HVAC & mechanical systems – inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain plumbing & water systems – inspect and repair hot water heaters, softeners, plumbing equipment, and pool systems (including monitoring pool chemistry when scheduled).
• Ensure life safety & emergency preparedness – maintain and troubleshoot fire safety systems, generators, sprinkler systems, and alarm panels.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance).
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• On‑call requirement on a rotating basis.
• Physical capability to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to pass state‑mandated background check.
• Good reading, writing, and speaking English skills.
