The Building Automation Technician  supportstheinstallation,start-up,commissioning,integration,andmaintenanceofbuildingautomationsystemswithafocusonequipment-level operation.

Thisroleassistswithtestingsequencesofoperation,performingstartupandfunctionalchecksonHVACequipment,validatingalarmsandsafeties,andtuningcontrolloopsandsetpoints.

ThetechnicianworkscloselywithTABcontractorsandmechanicalteamstoresolveequipment-specificcontrolissues.

Thetechnicianalsoprovidesonsitetraining,assistswithtroubleshooting,andmaintainsaccuraterecordsofinstallations,service calls,maintenance,andprojectactivitieswithincompanydatabaseswhilemaintainingstrongknowledgeofbuildingautomationsystems(BAS) andHVACcontrols.

Thisrolecommunicatestechnologycapabilitiestotechnicalandbusinessusers,identifiescustomerneedsandsalesopportunitiestosupportgrowth,andresolvescustomerissuesinalignmentwithcompanygoalsandvalues.

• 3–6yearsBASorHVACcontrolsexperience
• JourneymanHVACTechnicianorequivalentexperience
• FamiliaritywithBASprogrammingenvironments
• Abilitytoreadarchitectural,mechanical,andelectricalblueprints
• Understandingofbasicelectricalsystemsandnetworkcommunications(TCP/IP,Ethernet,VPN)
• Valid driver’slicensewithcleandrivingrecordandabilitytoobtainaDOTphysical
• Abilitytotravelapproximately
  25percent
• OSHA
  10certificationpreferred
