Sikich is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented auditing professional with strong leadership and IT skills. The role requires an active Secret or higher clearance or the ability to obtain it. This is a contract-based position.

• Provide first-line supervision to a team of auditing professionals.
• Conduct testing to determine the effectiveness of IT controls.
• Prepare work products, including work papers, findings, reports, and other written deliverables, in line with auditing standards and firm guidelines.
• Review work products prepared by the team.
• Develop the team through effective delegation and guidance.
• Act as the primary liaison to the client, including leading meetings.
• Own assigned work areas and execute tasks according to an internally developed schedule, ensuring timely completion and adherence to contractual deadlines.
• Leverage technology, including data analysis tools and AI, to increase audit procedure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Meet expectations for attendance, punctuality, and company/client deadlines, maintaining all company policies.
• Participate in formal and informal training to continuously grow technical and non-technical competencies.

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Information Systems degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of auditing or related technical experience.
• Minimum interim Secret clearance.
• Certification such as CISA preferred.
• Experience performing SOC 1 or SOC 2 audits (strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with FISCAM and/or FISMA frameworks acceptable.
• Prior audit internship/work experience or advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800‑53 and related security controls.
• Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) statements.
• Government Accountability Office (GAO) auditing standards.
• AICPA AU‑Cs.
• GAO/CIGIE Financial Audit Manual and related federal audit manuals.
• OMB Bulletins and circulars, the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and related federal reporting requirements.
