Position is primarily responsible for the collection and recording of resident receipts and processing accounts payable invoices. The role also processes journal entries for Goodwin Living and companies managed by Goodwin Living.

This position's pay is $28/hr-$30/hr and is based in Alexandria, VA.

• Process daily cash receipts, including checking lock boxes at each site on M-W-F cycle, updating the cash receipts log daily, preparing deposit batches, and processing check deposits using the Online Remote Desktop Deposit System.
• Process accounts payable invoices; serve as backup for AP Coordinator.
• Prepare monthly ACH payments for Goodwin House Alexandria, Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads, and Goodwin Living at Home; reconcile payment reports prior to submitting payments to the bank; process all Virtual Credit Card Payments.
• Process journal entries for Goodwin Living and companies managed by GL.
• Maintain files for the Finance department using the established archival filing system.
• Handle petty cash box for Goodwin House Alexandria.

• Associate Degree in accounting and/or prior accounting experience required (3 years).
• Intermediate Excel & Word Skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks and meet required deadlines.
• Ability to complete work thoroughly and accurately, utilizing approved systems of checks and balances.
• Ability to communicate and work professionally with peers.
