SPA is searching for a Director of Accounting to lead the accounting functions. The Company is experiencing a high rate of growth through acquisitions and organically and needs a leader to come and create scalable processes for a larger organization. This role requires excellent knowledge of GAAP, CAS, and FAR as well as experience managing a team.

• Lead the general ledger and manage monthly financial close processes.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to ensure efficient month‑end consolidation.
• Manage internal and external reporting requirements including audits, regulatory reporting, and tax reporting.
• Assist in implementing new accounting and reporting standards and develop operational process changes to support the implementation.
• Collaborate with functional teams throughout the organization as necessary for acquisition integration.
• Lead a diverse team with a focus on teamwork, staff development, and growth.
• Design and implement Deltek Costpoint and other financial information systems.
• Assist in preparing the organization for an IPO exit by creating and maintaining effective key controls for certain business processes.
• Annually develop departmental objectives and recommend short‑term and long‑term plans focused on improving effectiveness of assigned functions and internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

12+ years Accounting experience, including managing a team; CPA and Bachelor’s degree in accounting required;
Government contracting and Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.
