Automotive Mechanic

Franconia Auto Care is seeking an experienced, skilled, and dependable Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our busy, well-established automotive repair shop in Alexandria, Virginia.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship, can diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently, and is interested in a stable, long-term position.

• Diagnose and repair domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Perform engine diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
• Perform brake, suspension, steering, and cooling system repairs.
• Diagnose and repair air conditioning and heating systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, tune-ups, and general automotive services.
• Use diagnostic scan tools and automotive repair equipment effectively.
• Accurately identify vehicle problems and recommend necessary repairs.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience working on both domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Must be capable of performing repairs independently.
• Knowledge of modern automotive electrical and computer systems.
• Must have own professional automotive tools.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be dependable, punctual, honest, and professional.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy repair shop.

• $1,550–$1,700 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM.
