Marketplace Operations Specialist

Terratree is an ecommerce company operating on the Amazon marketplace and working with suppliers, manufacturers and business customers. We use technology, automation and data to operate at scale, but successful marketplace operations still require someone who pays close attention to what is happening every day and takes ownership when something goes wrong.

We are looking for a hands-on Marketplace Operations Specialist to manage the daily operational work behind our Amazon business.

This is not a role for someone who simply reports problems after they happen. We are looking for someone who identifies issues early, investigates why they happened, resolves them, and helps prevent them from happening again.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day health of Terratree's marketplace operations, including:

• Monitor and manage Amazon Seller Central activity and Account Health.

• Process and monitor customer orders and supplier purchase orders.

• Track orders from placement through shipment and delivery.

• Monitor cancellations, late shipments, returns, refunds and customer issues.

• Maintain inventory and availability information.

• Investigate pricing, inventory and order discrepancies.

• Raise and manage Amazon Seller Support cases through resolution.

• Handle returns from our Alexadria warehouse.

• Generate listings from UPC codes.

• Address listing, restricted-product, product-safety and policy issues.

• Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve operational problems.

• Maintain accurate operational records and supporting documentation.

• Identify recurring problems and determine their root causes.

• Recommend changes that reduce errors, cancellations and manual work.

• Work with our technical team to automate repeatable processes.

• Provide concise daily reporting on results, risks, blockers and next actions.

You should be able to demonstrate improvements in areas such as:

• Order cancellation rate

• On-time shipment and delivery

• Amazon Account Health

• Listing and policy violations

• Inventory accuracy

• Return and refund resolution

• Supplier exceptions

• Customer issues

• Time spent on manual processes

When something goes wrong, we expect you to answer four questions:

What happened? Why did it happen? What are you doing about it? How do we stop it happening again?

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience in ecommerce, marketplace, retail or operational environments.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.

• Experience owning processes from identification of a problem through resolution.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing operational issues.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and quantitative operational data.

• Demonstrated ability to document and improve repeatable processes.

• A record of taking ownership rather than waiting for instructions.

• Experience with Amazon Seller Central.

• Experience with Amazon Business or B2B ecommerce.

• Experience working with suppliers, distributors or manufacturers.

• Familiarity with inventory, order management, EDI or ecommerce APIs.

• Experience building dashboards or operational reporting.

• Excel proficiency.

• Familiarity with SQL, Python or other data-analysis tools.

• Familiarity with AWS.

• AWS certification or willingness to obtain an AWS certification.
