Construction Foreman – Heavy Civil
Terra Constructs currently has a requirement for an experienced Construction Foreman to support its operations in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The position is responsible for being the point of contact between construction crews and Construction Superintendents and Managers. The position provides on-site coordination of projects with crew members and clients. The Construction Foreman is responsible for ensuring schedules are met and work is performed in a safe and responsible manner.
Prior experience working on projects involving construction of Segmental Block Retaining Walls and MSC Walls is highly desirable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works as the point of contact between crew members and construction managers.
- Coordinates, assigns, and directs the day-to-day tasks on projects.
- Responsible for creating and ensuring work schedules are met.
- Ensures that work meets the quality standards of the company.
- Reports on the work progress of assigned projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that work is performed in a safe manner consistent with established company safety standards.
- Interacts with clients on day-to-day work issues.
- Develops and reports work schedules.
- Handles and resolves issues that may arise between crew members.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Construction Foreman working on Heavy Civil projects.
- Sound knowledge of Construction practices and processes.
- Ability to read construction drawings and processes.
- Strong commitment to Safe Workplace Practice
