Location: Alexandria, VA

Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 per year

• Collaborate with producers, video creators, and modular content teams to translate research and data insights into visual storytelling.
• Concept, design, and produce high‑quality visual assets across digital, print, and social channels, and provide creative assets and design direction for videos.
• Prototype and test new visual formats for emerging platforms such as You Tube Shorts, Linked In carousels, Maglr, interactive PDFs, and other digital publication formats.
• Ensure accessibility, inclusivity, and clarity in all visual design work; maintain and evolve the visual identity to align with brand evolution and campaign needs.
• Develop graphics, infographics, and presentation visuals that simplify complex ideas for executive, HR, and public audiences; build creative templates and toolkits.
• Review branding suggestions and provide feedback in collaboration with SHRM's Agency of Record and other vendors.

• 5–7+ years of professional design experience across digital, motion, and brand storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
• Strong conceptual thinker able to turn abstract ideas into tangible visuals that inspire and inform.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and frequent use of hands for typing and handling documents.
