Northern Virginia Ophthalmology Associates (NVOA) is one of the largest physician‑owned ophthalmology practices in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. We are a leading, patient‑focused ophthalmology practice dedicated to delivering the highest quality eye care to our patients. Established with a mission to improve and preserve vision, NVOA combines cutting‑edge technology with compassionate care to meet the needs of patients of all ages.

The practice has been operating for nearly 50 years and consists of three offices in Northern Virginia with 15 ophthalmologists and 2 optometrists. We are a physician‑owned practice providing the highest quality eye care services to the communities we serve. Our practice offers subspecialty care in the areas of glaucoma, cornea and refractive surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, adult strabismus, oculoplastic surgery, and uveitis.

We operate in 7 surgical facilities in the Northern Virginia area. At NVOA, we prioritize innovation, excellence, and patient‑centered care while fostering a workplace culture that encourages growth, learning, and career development.

Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
  • Fellowship training in oculoplastic surgery or equivalent specialized training.
  • Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia.
