School Psychologist

Location: Alexandria, VA
Start: Spring 26 Semester
Caseload: K-12 (details discussed in an interview)
Pay: Hourly, dependent on experience, weekly pay, full benefits

• Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology required.
• Valid State certification as a School Psychologist (or eligibility for certification).
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, psychological testing, and intervention strategies.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations, staff, and parents.

• Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate student learning and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and implement evidence‑based interventions and strategies.
• Support crisis intervention and assist in managing school‑wide behavioral issues.
• Provide professional development and training to educators and staff on psychological topics such as social‑emotional learning, behavior management, and mental health.
• Consult with parents and guardians to offer strategies for supporting students at home.
• Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
