We are looking for a Project Manager to join our growing engineering group in Alexandria, VA. In this role you will work closely with other project managers and team leads across the DC Metro Area and Mid‑Atlantic region to lead and execute work involving municipal water, wastewater conveyance and treatment process engineering, as well as stormwater projects. This client‑facing role will manage projects, mentor junior engineering staff, and report to the Mid‑Atlantic Area Manager.

Successful candidates will also support business development and growth strategy.

• Manage and execute engineering solutions for process and linear components of water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
• Lead tasks and set goals for project teams.
• Schedule and coordinate project resources to deliver detailed design drawings, specifications, technical reports, and planning documents.
• Provide technical expertise as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor.
• Supervise and support technical staff and engineers.
• Mentor junior‑level engineers and designers.
• Work directly with clients to determine needs, deliver solutions, and grow client relationships (e.g., DC Water, WSSC).
• Support senior leadership in business development, including proposal preparation, scope of work, and budgeting.
• Manage overall project delivery expectations, prioritize tasks, and mentor junior staff.

• 8+ years of experience in the engineering and consulting industry, specifically in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington DC, Maryland, and/or Virginia, or the ability to obtain one through reciprocity within six months.
• Project management experience with municipal water, wastewater, and/or stormwater projects.
• Design and/or planning experience through design and construction of municipal facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.

This position requires a hybrid work schedule that includes working from the Alexandria, VA office on a scheduled basis.
