Senior Facilities Assessor

We are seeking a Senior Facilities Assessor to join our team. The role involves conducting thorough facility condition assessments, inspecting client buildings both interior and exterior, and compiling detailed reports.
Responsibilities- Assist in conducting thorough facility condition assessments, including interior and exterior inspections of client buildings.
- Document findings through photographs, sketches, and notes, ensuring all data is accurately recorded. Use computer tablets with built‑in cameras to document mechanical or electrical equipment and subcomponents encountered during assessments.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints to understand building layouts, systems, and potential issues, guiding assessment processes.
- Help draft preliminary reports based on assessment findings, identifying necessary repairs, maintenance, or upgrades.
- Apply basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) to assess their condition and functionality.
- Participate in fieldwork that may include climbing ladders, entering confined spaces, and working in various weather conditions; follow all safety protocols.
- Occasionally interact with clients to clarify requirements or provide preliminary feedback on assessments.
- Engage in continuous learning about new building technologies, materials, and assessment methodologies through training sessions or workshops.
- Assist senior assessors in managing project timelines, ensuring assessments are completed within deadlines and coordinating with other team members.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering or related field.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
- Experience and/or education in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Building Science.
- Knowledge of building systems, including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong process and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and determine the best course of action.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills, able to perform under pressure and adjust to changing priorities.
- Ability to meet hard deadlines.

Expected compensation range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
