Description
The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Policy, Governance, and Standards Systems Architect to support one of its critical customers. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and driving the adoption of different architectural methodologies across the organization. You will also play a key role in defining and implementing enterprise policies, governance, and standards. In this role, you will integrate with other Directorates to ensure that the organization's infrastructure supports the efficient and secure delivery of products and services.
This position is located at The Mark Center in Alexandria, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance to start.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform complex and advanced architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing, and operation in support of system development, engineering analysis, and research.
- Work directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution, and evaluation of multiple complex technical solutions related to a program's system and technical product development.
- Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific principles and practices in broad areas across one or more technical disciplines.
- Employ solution architecture and system engineering principles, processes, methods, models, artifacts, and tools to accomplish analysis, problem evaluation/diagnosis, and solution design across a variety of Systems Engineering / Architecture activities, including data gathering, requirements definition, use case development, gap analysis, functional specification creation, test plan development, test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning, and authoring of design specifications.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models.
- Lead the development of business process maps using a standard methodology and toolset.
- Typically requires a BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience.
- U.S. Citizenship with an active Top Secret (TS) / SCI clearance.
- Experience with preparing executive presentations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
