An engineering firm based in Alexandria, Virginia, that specializes in hyperbaric chambers that save lives and support complex missions, is seeking to add an engineering technician to its team. The Engineering Technician turns custom designs into fully operational systems by assembling, integrating, and upgrading high-pressure equipment used in hospitals and U.S. Navy facilities worldwide. This role blends hands-on assembly, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical precision.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, integrate, and upgrade custom hyperbaric chambers
  • Perform maintenance and testing both in-house and onsite at client facilities
  • Travel to hospitals and military bases to support installations
  • Interpret schematics and engineering drawings with high accuracy
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure functionality aligns with intent
  • Conduct troubleshooting, corrective repairs, and system performance checks
  • Manage materials and components for assembly
  • Work safely within medical-grade and mission-critical environments
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a mechanical or electrical technician role
  • Strong fundamentals in both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read schematics and follow precise technical instructions
  • High accountability and comfort working with tight timelines
  • Curious to learn complex systems and innovate when needed
  • Willingness to travel domestically and work occasional weekends
  • Welding certification is a plus
  • Prior experience in manufacturing medical, aerospace, or custom industrial systems preferred
