RN Patient Referral Coordinator

The RN Patient Referral Coordinator utilizes clinical nursing knowledge to manage and coordinate patient referrals efficiently, ensuring patients receive timely access to appropriate healthcare services. This role bridges clinical assessment with administrative coordination to facilitate seamless communication between patients, providers, insurance, and healthcare facilities.

Associate's degree in Nursing is required.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Previous nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse with Virginia Department of Health Professions is required, or Compact State Registered Nurse License is required.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and patient care coordination.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), scheduling software and referral tracking systems.
