Doctor of Physical Therapy Job in Alexandria, VA
The Physical Therapy Zone is hiring for a Doctor of Physical Therapy job in Alexandria, VA, and we're looking for a Virginia-licensed clinician who wants to spend real time with every patient. We are a physical therapist-owned private practice in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, and our approach is simple: one-on-one, hands-on treatment and personalized care for every patient, without the use of technicians.
If you became a physical therapist to treat people rather than manage a schedule, this role was built with you in mind. You'll see one patient per hour, and you'll leave work on time with less documentation waiting for you.
Our clinic focuses on the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of physical therapy needs, including sports injuries and joint disorders. Every visit is a full hour with you, from the first assessment through hands-on treatment, with no technicians stepping in to carry part of the session. You'll evaluate and treat a maximum of eight patients per day, which gives you the time to listen to a patient's goals, notice what their body is telling you, and adjust the plan as they progress.
That structure means patients get your full attention, and you get to see the results of your own hands-on work from one visit to the next.
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, motivated, and forward-thinking, and who excels at assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses to build a creative but effective treatment plan. If you enjoy orthopedics and sports injury work and take pride in helping patients feel better fast, you'll find plenty to work with here, with a variety of patients and needs to keep your evaluation and treatment skills sharp.
AClinic Alexandria Patients Recognize
Zebra Magazine rated The Physical Therapy Zone the number one physical therapy clinic in Alexandria, VA in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. That recognition reflects a practice where clinicians are given the time to deliver personalized care, and it's a reputation you would help carry forward from our Old Town location.
As a physical therapist-owned practice, we make decisions with patient care first. You'll work alongside a supportive, experienced team of therapists who are passionate about patient success, and we invest in your growth as well. We offer continuing education credits, pay your APTA dues, and are willing to pay for dry needling training if you'd like to add that certification. A flexible schedule and three weeks of paid time off mean the work fits into your life, not the other way around.
