Stem IT is a recruiting leader offering staff augmentation services to a variety of public and private sector industries who are looking to grow their businesses. We are looking to hire a Full Desk Technical Recruiter, with agency experience within the DC tech market. In this role, you will own your practice and be responsible for everything from identifying/prospecting clients, negotiating fees and contracts, as well as sourcing top talent for multiple accounts.
This is an excellent growth opportunity where the ideal candidate will be dynamic in their ability to pick up clients through new business, but also manage existing relationships and source talent.
The ideal person will have a hunter-gatherer mentality in pursuit of growing their individual practice, while also generating sales and recruiting/sales skills that will allow them to scale up their own team. This Technical Recruiter should be local to the DC Metro Area, with the ability to meet in Alexandria once per week.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience as a full desk agency recruiter
- Experience with sales and driving business development
- Tactfully leverage tools like Linked In Recruiter to identify quality candidates
- Deep understanding of local tech market and trends
- Career driven high performer having produced 10+ full desk placements/year
- A desire for a career in a commission-driven, performance-based environment
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously to determine what your individual practice needs are on any given day
- Detail-oriented approach with an ability to put efficient processes in place
- Bachelor's degree or Military background
Bonus Skillsets:
- Background in placing technical candidates with both Public and Private Sector clients
- Experience with both full time direct placement and contract lines of business
- Experience negotiating client fees (direct-hire, contract, contract to hire)
- Prior specialization within a designated tech market niche (ie. Security, Dev Ops, Software, Product, Data Science, AI, etc)
- Background in training and mentoring other recruiters
