Piper Companies is hiring an Enterprise Architect to design secure, scalable, and automated network architectures for a leading federal IT provider. This full-time, remote role will lead strategy, design, and implementation across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. Responsibilities of the Enterprise Architect Include:
* Translate client requirements into tailored network architecture solutions.
* Assess and optimize infrastructure for scalability, resiliency, and security.
* Design and document enterprise network architectures.
* Lead deployments and ensure alignment with best practices.
* Drive network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
* Develop CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure.
* Standardize architectures and create reusable templates.
* Collaborate with engineering teams and vendors.
* Mentor teams on automation and emerging technologies (SDN, SASE, Zero Trust).
* Troubleshoot complex network and automation issues.
* 15-25% travel required Qualifications of the Enterprise Architect Include:
* ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE required
* IAT level II Certification required
* Bachelor's in CS, IT, or related field
* 7+ years in network architecture/engineering.
* Expertise in enterprise-grade networks (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).
* Strong knowledge of protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, SD-WAN).
* Hands-on with automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform).
* Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* IaC and Dev Ops methodologies.
* Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
* Certifications:
CCNP preferred, CCIE preferred;
Dev Net a plus.
* Strong communication and leadership skills. Compensation of the Enterprise Architect Includes:
* Salary Range: $ - $ per year, based on experience and certifications.
