Base pay: $90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr (actual pay based on skills and experience, discuss with recruiter)

As a Virtualization Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the virtualized IT infrastructure to ensure stability, performance, and security for the customer’s program. This includes overseeing on‑prem hardware (servers and storage), on‑prem hypervisors (VMware vSphere), and cloud‑based infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure.

• Manage and maintain the customer’s virtualized IT infrastructure for stability, performance, and security.
• Administer both on‑prem and cloud environments, resolve virtualization‑related issues, and support agency IT initiatives.
• Oversee on‑prem hardware and hypervisors (VMware, vSphere) and CSP infrastructure in Azure.
• Contribute to automation of infrastructure deployment and integrate Infrastructure as Code into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical support for existing and emerging virtualization technologies and assist in planning and executing related projects.
• Install, configure, and maintain virtual machines and physical infrastructure, including rack mounting and hardware configuration.
• Monitor virtual environments and optimize resource allocation for efficient operation.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to virtualization, including VM performance, connectivity, and security.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments.
• Ensure security by applying patches, updates, and recommended configurations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of virtualization configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to support virtualization needs and integrate virtual solutions with other systems.

• Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance issued by the National Credit Union Administration; U.S. citizenship required.
• 3+ years of professional experience in virtualization administration with VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere environments.
• Experience supporting virtualization infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with on‑prem hardware and hyper servers, and CSP infrastructure in Azure.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining VMs, virtual infrastructure, and physical infrastructure.
• Experience monitoring performance and optimizing resource allocation.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving virtualization issues.
• Experience automating infrastructure deployment and integrating IaC into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Power Shell, VMware Power
  
  CLI, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.
• Experience integrating infrastructure tools with APIs for CI/CD deployment.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed to customer locations (minimal travel, majority remote). Locations:
