Job Description:

Grid Iron IT is seeking a Devops Systems Engineer with an Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) Clearance to support our AWS . The qualified candidate must have an active TS security clearance, and will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership to implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This position will require experience standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in a cloud environments, and the deployment and maintenance of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments.

Responsibilities:
This position involves leading systems administration and Devops activities that support building and delivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation, production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies. Duties will include building Windows instances, performing deployments to multiple development, test and operational environments, patching, troubleshooting, and working with internal and external development teams as well as enterprise components.

Core

Qualifications:

Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
DoD 8570 compliance

Experience with cloud/Amazon Web services (AWS)

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture.
Understanding of custom code development/reviews
Understanding of Dev Sec Ops  methodologies and workflow
Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines

Experience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scripting

Experience with Red Hat Open Shift
Experience developing webapps with Python
Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. Cloud Formation, S3, ECS, EKS)

Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
Experience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams
Team Collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, Rocket Chat)
Microsoft and/or AWS certifications Clearance:

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
