E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking aa Data Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, VA in support of the Defense Resources and Infrastructure Office (DRI). DRI's mission is to catalog and analyze military and civilian infrastructure and defense-related resources that underpin a nation's or group's military capabilities-including transportation, logistics, defense economics, energy systems, arms trade, physical vulnerability to weapon effects, defense industries, and the operational environment-to support U.S. and allied planners, targeteers, warfighters, policymakers, partners, and acquisition official.

• Use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact.
• Work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle.
• Develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions.
• Provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

• 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
• 1+ Experience with R or Python
• Experience using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance at the appropriate level

• Experience with VS Code, Git Hub, Jira, or Confluence
• Knowledge of DoD Intelligence processes, activities, standards, and analytic tools
• Experience with data gathering, cleansing, and parsing
• Ability to work in Windows and Linux OS environments
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science
