Blaszkow Legal, PLLC is an established Northern Virginia personal injury law firm (begun in 1992). We litigate personal injury and insurance claims in state and federal courts in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. We are a small, tech-savvy team focused on outside-the-box solutions that optimize client recoveries. We handle a full range of cases from modest value to major seven-figure cases with a client-centric approach that contributes to five-star reviews.

We are looking for a superlative candidate to become our newest Paralegal. A bachelor s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills to interact with clients from intake through all stages of litigation. Duties include intake interviews, case investigation and preparation, medical record review, drafting and responding to correspondence, preparing and drafting pleadings and other court filings, and more.

A strong desire to advocate on behalf of our clients is essential. This is a full-time position that may occasionally entail weekend and evening work.

Base salary ranges from $44,000 - $60,000 (depending on qualifications and experience), plus attainable monthly performance bonuses and participation bonuses for business brought to the firm. Other benefits include PTO, BCBS health insurance, a retirement plan with employer match, and a professional development budget.

Bilingual candidates who are fluent in English and Spanish will receive a translation bonus of $2,000 (paid in two installments: after 30 days and after 6 months).

• Interview new clients and perform comprehensive evaluations of what has been done, and what needs to be
• Actively review cases in pre-litigation, ensuring that medical records are received and investigations are complete
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and other staff members
• Evaluate cases, including determining potential for resolution and need for litigation
• Briefing and advising managing attorneys on case postures and outcomes
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions
• Administrative and other management functions related to the practice of law

• Minimum 1 year of experience in law; experience in personal injury practice is highly desired
• Familiarity with civil procedure (Virginia, Maryland, and/or DC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• For bilingual candidates: must be fluent in English and Spanish
