Our client, a highly respected IP law firm, is looking for a patent attorney (partner track), patent agent, or technical specialist for their Chemical Practice.
Billable hours
IP Associate- 1,850
Patent Agent/Technical Specialist- 1,650
Schedule - Hybrid 3/2 in Alexandria, VA
Responsibilities- Patent preparation and prosecution
- Foreign portfolio management
- Patent licensing
- Conducting due diligence in IP transactions toward rendering opinions to clients
- Working closely with clients, inventors, and firm attorneys
- A degree in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in the relevant field is a plus
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice before the USPTO
- 3-7 years of patent prosecution experience
- A degree in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in the relevant field is a plus
- Admitted to practice before the USPTO
- 2+ years of experience in patent application drafting and/or prosecution in a law firm setting is required
- A degree in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in the relevant field is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in patent application drafting and/or prosecution in a law firm setting is required
