The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG) within the Sea, Land, Air Division provides timely, objective analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. As part of the Columbia‑class SSBN program, the Virginia‑class SSN program, and the upcoming SSN‑X program, Analysts and Engineers support the SSBN force, oversight of cutting‑edge attack submarine construction, and the development of future platform design requirements.
ResponsibilitiesThe Program Analyst will support the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on program support to the SSN AUKUS Support (Phase 3) Directorate.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with government and industry partners across the US, UK, and Australia to support the development of a sufficient workforce and supply chain to construct and sustain the SSN AUKUS platform.
- Providing technical and administrative support of program‑wide activities, including risk management, scheduling, strategic advising, budget management, technical assistance, and event coordination.
- Co‑ordinating with stakeholders and providing situational awareness to facilitate cross‑functional collaboration.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date program documentation and reports for senior leadership.
Position located at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA with frequent travel to the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Up to ~15 % travel to partner and industry stakeholder locations may be required.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years of government or military‑related experience
- Service on‑site full time at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA with frequent local travel to the Washington Navy Yard; remote work up to 40 % may be available
- Experience with U.S. Navy submarine operations, design, construction, or other naval support activities
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Experience with U.S. Navy shipyards or Navy program offices
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
- Experience with workforce and supply‑chain development, management, or analysis
- Mid‑Senior level
