Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an Operating Room RN Unit Supervisor to join our team full-time

. This position will benefit from the Weekend Differential contract. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses.

Inova Alexandria Hospital is a beautiful 318-bed community hospital located in the city of Alexandria. Our OR is equipped with 11 OR suites and 4 Endoscopy Suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Full range of Endoscopy services including Heartburn Treatment.

Job Description

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an Operating Room RN Unit Supervisor to join our team full-time. This position will benefit from the Weekend Differential contract. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses.

Position schedule:
Fulltime (3/12hr shifts) Weekend Premium. Schedule will be rotation of Fri, Sat, Sun & Sat, Sun, Mon. Training to take place during the weekdays prior to transferring to Weekend Premium shift .

• Participates in the analysis of unit based quality outcomes as well as development, deployment and enculturation of action plans that lead to systematic improvement in outcomes
• Provides individualized coaching and counseling to clinical staff on critical processes, standards and problem solving/critical thinking in a positive and non-punitive manner
• Serves as a role model to others in communication to patients, identifying concerns, diffusing potentially difficult situations and facilitating resolution
• Conducts effective safety huddles by making use of all relevant information and making appropriate decisions to ensure optimal outcomes
