The Inova Alexandria Hospital Medical Specialty unit is seeking an RN to take the next step in their journey, on a full‑time night shift (7pm–7am). The role offers a sign‑on bonus and relocation bonus.

• Performs patient assessments to collect basic data and follows written plans of care, standards and practice guidelines.
• Organizes, prioritizes and delivers patient care to assigned patients using Inova's Nursing Professional Practice Model and Care Delivery Model.
• Provides compassionate and empathetic hands‑on care while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
• States rationale for clinical decisions based on educational knowledge, principles and evidence‑based practices.
• Works efficiently within the healthcare team to achieve maximum productivity and identified outcomes.
• Accurately documents all patient care activities as per documentation standards and seeks assistance to further develop documentation skills.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings as an active member of the healthcare team.
• Integrates novice nursing abilities with new knowledge and the capacity to incorporate and transfer these skills into the delivery of safe/high‑quality patient care.
• Attends and participates in all learning sessions assigned for successful completion of the Registered Nurse (RN) Fellowship.
• May serve as a preceptor following appropriate orientation and competency completion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Work schedule:
  
  12‑hour nights (7pm–7am).
• Education:
  
  BSN from an accredited nursing school; if RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience (including LTC, Rehab, Home Health and Outpatient).
• Certification:
  Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse or active multi‑state RN license; BLS from American Heart Association.
