Key Qualifications &

Experience:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Proficiency in circulating and/or scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and infection control protocols

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are ready and sterile
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures, responding swiftly to changes in condition
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interventions, medications, and observations
• Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and OR protocols to ensure patient and team safety
• Provide patient education and emotional support before and after surgery
• Participate actively in surgical team briefings and debriefings
