BARTENDER

Responsible for expertly mixing and serving a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests of the bar, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all patrons. This includes crafting cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and preparing other specialty drinks as requested.

• Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks for bar and restaurant.
• Serves wine, draft or bottled beer and food to bar guests according to hotel standards.
• Collects payments for drinks served following hotel established accounting procedures.
• Responds to guests needs.
• Guides guests in selecting food and beverage items.
• Merchandises cocktail hours and special events.
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests.
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures for handling an intoxicated guest.
• Prepares drinks and verifies correct pricing.
• Assists servers in bar knowledge.
• Cleans, sanitizes, restocks and stores bar items according to procedures.
• Secures all money at the end of each shift.
• Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Serves bar menu food according to hotel standards.
• Responsible for proper storage of alcohol.
• Responsible for cleaning bar service and guest areas.
• Reports maintenance issues to immediate supervisor.
• Requisition s alcohol and bar food according to hotel standards.

• Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
• The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
• Shift for this position is 4:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday-Saturday, 1-3 shifts per week.

• Previous bartending experience.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Good knowledge of liquor and preparation methods.

Donohoe Hospitality Services offers a comprehensive Benefits Package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, leaves of absences, retirement plans, paid time off, hotel room discounts, and more. Minimum 32 hours/week to qualify. We also offer daily pay access to receive earnings on the same day you work.
