Reports to Director of Food & Beverage / Restaurant Manager; position is non-exempt.

THE ROLE

The Food & Beverage Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting daily restaurant, bar, and banquet operations while upholding Aparium’s Standards of Service. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage or Restaurant Manager, this position bridges leadership and execution — ensuring service excellence while developing team members and supporting operational goals. This role requires someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Aparium leaders are expected to be both strategic and hands‑on, identifying opportunities for improvement and personally ensuring issues are resolved. As a growing hospitality company rooted in Translocal Hospitality, flexibility, curiosity, and collaboration are essential.

What You Will Do
  • Uphold and model Aparium’s principles of People, Place, and Character, ensuring your team consistently delivers warm, authentic, and thoughtful service.
  • Supervise daily food and beverage operations across restaurant, bar, and banquet environments as needed.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, descriptions, and daily specials.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of wine, cocktails, beverage service, and proper stemware usage.
  • Present menus and make thoughtful recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
  • Utilize the hotel’s POS and computer systems to ring sales, print and close checks, and complete end‑of‑shift reporting.
  • Assist with associate scheduling, payroll support, and daily labor coordination.
  • Conduct monthly inventories of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and food and beverage items at the direction of the Executive Chef or Food & Beverage leadership.
  • Support training, coaching, and development of associates; lead with clarity, respect, and accountability.
  • Handle guest concerns and operational challenges with professionalism, discretion, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
  • Maintain compliance with all hotel and departmental policies, service standards, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Hotel Operations, and Food & Beverage leadership to ensure seamless service.
  • Support other food and beverage departments as needed to ensure operational success.

What You Will Need
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Food & Beverage Supervisor experience
  • Strong working knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and beverage service
  • Understanding of service excellence, labor control, merchandising, maintenance, and basic accounting principles
  • Computer proficiency, including POS systems and scheduling tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
