- Repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices.
- Perform general repair on air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, gas furnaces, electric motors.
- Provide preventative maintenance and diagnose operational deficiencies.
- Test malfunctioning systems with electrical and mechanical skills.
- Maintain legible records of work history.
- Process job tickets and work orders promptly.
- Pick up, deliver, and install cases.
- Perform minor construction/remodeling projects and startup of new installations.
- Drive company vehicle safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA certification.
- Certification from an accredited vocational/technical or trade school (plus).
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
- Experience on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets (strong plus).
- Familiarity with single and rack systems and previous work on display cases and walk‑in boxes.
- Good driving record; able to work independently.
- Emergency on‑call availability.
- Can lift up to 60 lbs. unaided and stand/sit for several hours.
