- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of commercial properties to ensure the safety and functionality of all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, etc.).
- Perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and improve building efficiency.
- Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting systems and plumbing.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from tenants or building management.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance work completed, including inventory management.
- Assist with any additional tasks needed to support the smooth running of the property.
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours emergencies in property portfolio in Alexandria and Springfield VA properties.
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance (minimum 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and energy management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Relevant certifications preferred.
- Fully registered vehicle and local State driving license required to travel to different properties required.
