Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team in Alexandria, VA. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, applying expertise in refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics, electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.

• 3–5 years of commercial HVAC service experience required.
• Certification or Associate’s degree from an accredited HVAC program at a technical school.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul HVAC-related equipment such as air compressors, pumps, air handlers, air dryers, heat exchangers, and other environmental control systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair pneumatic valves, electric valves, heat transfer equipment, ventilation, and air distribution equipment.
• Install and replace pumps, refrigeration equipment, and related components following technical diagrams, specifications, and instructions.
• Apply basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting principles to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of HVAC systems.
• Operate tools and equipment including refrigerant recovery/recycling units, multi-meters, brazing/soldering tools, pipe threading machines, and tube cleaning equipment.
• Document work performed by completing job reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Follow oral and written instructions to execute assignments effectively.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and respond to urgent service needs when required.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.
