- Work as an Electrical Service / UPS Installation Systems Technician for M.C. Dean's Service & National Accounts Group operating 24/7‑365.
- Provide world‑class support and training; maintain customer satisfaction, quality and safety.
- Perform electrical installations, UPS installs servicing basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, and codes.
- Resolve customers' electrical problems in a professional and safe manner; present yourself in a clean and professional manner at all times.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints and building plans.
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
- Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and procedures.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment and fixtures using test devices.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools; locate causes of breakdown and correct the problem.
- Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Travel 60% across the United States at various locations.
- High school diploma/GED with minimum five (5+) years of experience in the electrical service industry.
- Experience installing UPS systems.
- Hold a current Journeyman license or VMET in VA, MD, or WV.
- Subject to a government security investigation, meet eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship for access to classified information; ability to obtain and maintain a top‑secret clearance.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
- Must possess an acceptable driving record; the position may require use of a company vehicle.
- Excellent working knowledge of all electrical tools including testing equipment.
- Good working knowledge using smart devices (smart phones, tablets, etc.) and multiple web‑based applications.
- Committed to excellence and generate high‑quality work.
- Wear OSHA approved boot‑length pants and a shirt that covers the shoulders by seven (7) inches.
- Consistently report to work on time and maintain a safe work environment.
- Any other relevant certifications (e.g., Lift and Aerial Training).
- NFPA 70E.
- OSHA 30.
- UPS installation knowledge.
- Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Relocates a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Has good vision (may be corrected), can see in color, hears and communicates in English.
- May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Recognizes when something is wrong or likely to go wrong without necessarily solving the problem.
- Applies general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers.
- Combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
- Sees details at close range.
- Listens to and understands information and ideas presented verbally.
