The City of Alexandria is seeking an Equipment Operator I in the Sewers Department to operate a range of heavy equipment and perform manual tasks supporting stormwater permit activities and BMP maintenance. Responsibilities include trenching with a backhoe, back filling, grading, and supporting seasonal public works projects.
Work may occur in all weather conditions and require responding to emergencies, including snow events; overtime and on-call shifts may be required as part of rapid-response
