ThePosition
This role offers a unique opportunity to join the dynamic and growing Dermatology Unit at the Alfred and Peninsula University Hospital. Alfred Dermatology is a major teaching, clinical and translational research unit and the tertiary referral centre for South‑Eastern Melbourne, regional and rural Victoria. The position supports general dermatology and multiple subspecialist multidisciplinary clinics, including for immunobullous and oral mucosal disease, HS, biologics, dermatology‑rheumatology, skin drug reactions and immunosuppressed patients.
It is best suited to candidates with a clinical and academic interest in medical dermatology, with a dual appointment possible with Monash University. The role is up to 0.36 FTE.
- Legally qualified medical practitioner, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions or reprimands that could impact clinical practice.
- Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
- Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in dermatology.
- Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in dermatology.
- Experience in teaching and involvement in research are desirable.
- Outstanding communication skills, including well‑developed conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships.
