Pathology Collector (Grade
2)
Location: The Alfred, Caulfield, and Sandringham Hospitals.
Classification: Grade 2 Pathology Collector (IN24).
Employment type: Permanent Part‑time – 63 hours per fortnight.
- Collect specimens from inpatients, outpatients, domiciliary and emergency departments within Alfred Pathology Service.
- Minimum 2 years of venepuncture experience using BD Eclipse needles.
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Pathology Collection.
- Ability to participate in allocated shifts and/or duties and rotating roster covering weekends/public holidays as required.
- Preferably hold a valid Driver License.
- Ability to work and function well within a high‑pressure work environment.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team.
- Computer skills essential as blood test orders are placed online and collection is certified using electronic devices.
- Able to commute to all three campuses (Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals).
