The Allied Health Assistant (Trauma) works closely with the multidisciplinary allied health teams to provide a flexible and responsive service that meets each patient’s identified therapeutic and discharge goals. The position is responsible for implementing individual interventions and therapy programs, as delegated by the treating therapists, and for providing administrative and clinical support functions to assist with patient management and contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the ward.

It is a condition of employment that individuals may be required to work across all Alfred Health sites and services, including weekend and public holiday shifts as rostered.

• Completion of Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) from a registered training organisation with a minimum of 3 years of experience, OR
• Worked as a grade 2 allied health assistant for a minimum of 3 years (full‑time equivalent)
• Recognised equivalent qualification (as determined by the line manager), e.g. overseas‑trained allied health practitioner with a qualification at diploma level or higher
