Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job Overview Inspire Resourcing Ltd are seeking a highly organised and professional Purchase Ledger / Receptionist to join our clients busy team in Alfreton. This is a varied role combining finance administration duties with front-of-house responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate purchase ledger records while acting as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger Duties
* Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
* Matching purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
* Preparing payment runs for approval.
* Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
* Setting up new supplier accounts and updating existing records.
* Liaising with suppliers regarding payments and account enquiries.
* Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting.
* Supporting the finance team with administrative duties as required.
Reception & Administration Duties
* Welcoming visitors and ensuring a professional front-of-house service.
* Answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
* Managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
* Scheduling meetings and maintaining meeting room bookings.
* Providing administrative support across various departments.
* Ordering office supplies and monitoring stock levels.
* Maintaining a tidy and professional reception area.
* Assisting with general office administration tasks.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Assistant role.
* Strong administration and customer service skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Experience using accounting software would be advantageous.
* Professional telephone manner and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
* Friendly, approachable, and reliable.
Benefits
Salary of £27,000 - £29,000 DOE
