Position: HLTA Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Swanwick

Link3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in DE55. This is a full-time, year-long maternity cover role starting in January 2026, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning across the primary age range
Deliver lessons and interventions under the direction of the class teacher or independently as required
Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the teacher
Provide high-quality support for pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
Requirements

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience supporting teaching in a primary school setting
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
Safeguarding & Compliance

All candidates must demonstrate a valid Right to Work in the UK.
DBS:
Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one prior to starting. The cost of a DBS will be covered by the applicant.
