Contract position with potential to become permanent after 3 months.

Schedule:

8:00 am–6:00 pm, Monday-Friday; rotating Saturdays 9:00 am–1:00 pm.

Minimum 2 years of experience required.

The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshoot, train, and make workflow recommendations, ensuring accurate specimen collection and data entry.

• Perform blood draws (venipuncture) and collect specimens from various patient types.
• Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to laboratory requisition orders.
• Record specimen information and maintain accurate patient data in the computer system.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEP regulations, and laboratory protocols.
• Maintain inventory and packaging supplies for specimen transport.
• Provide high customer service; conduct telephone calls and answer inquiries about test results.
• Attend annual department trainings and stay current with clinical best practices.

• Valid state phlebotomy certification (as required in some states).
• Minimum six months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED.
