Utility Locator – USIC
Compensation: $21.00 per hour (for new locators) up to $33.00 per hour for experienced locators.

You will work outdoors, independently in the field, using company‑provided vehicles and state‑of‑the‑art ticket and claims management systems. Positions are full‑time, daytime shifts with a 48‑hour turnaround on many locates. Overtime, weekend shifts, on‑call duties (including nights) are required.
Your Responsibilities as a Locator- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
- Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately mark the location, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.

- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions; prior outdoor experience is a plus.
- Computer proficiency.
- Available to work overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.
- Must pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
- Valid driver’s license & safe driving record.
- Able to work in confined spaces; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
- Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
- Clear communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
