Primary Care Physician, Medical Doctor, Internal Medicine Physician
Optigy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our team on a locum tenens, full-time basis. This role is centered around providing high-quality, value-based healthcare to the senior population in Southeast Texas.
As a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO), you will be part of a progressive clinic model designed to improve the health and well-being of underserved communities. You will work alongside an integrated support team and utilize a proprietary electronic medical records (EMR) system to ensure the best possible care for your patients. Our clinic philosophy emphasizes quality over quantity, ensuring that each patient receives the attention and time they deserve through longer appointment scheduling and a proactive care approach.
This Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors, working within an environment that values teamwork, innovation, and a patient-first mentality. You will see a manageable patient load of 12–18 patients per day, allowing you to focus on comprehensive assessments, preventive care, and chronic disease management. The supportive infrastructure, including a dedicated care team and advanced EMR tools, is designed to reduce administrative burden and enhance your ability to deliver patient-centered care.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) will collaborate closely with colleagues to develop and implement care plans, participate in case reviews, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. This collaborative environment ensures that every patient benefits from the collective expertise of the team and that physicians have ample professional support. All travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are fully covered, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent care without logistical concerns.
The ideal candidate for this Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) role is board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with a passion for senior care and an interest in working within a team-based, value-driven healthcare model. Candidates with a valid Texas medical license are preferred, though all qualified physicians are encouraged to apply.
Optigy is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
